Snowfro Living Archive

Come look at the work with me.
Most of these start with something pretty simple: a line, a ticket, a room, a heart, a few slashes, a tiny person. Then I keep going and somehow there is code, a physical object, a game, or an entire network hiding under it. This is where I try to explain that part without making it sound more serious than it needs to.

Core Works
These are the ones I keep coming back to. They usually look simple at first, and then I somehow keep adding code, controls, objects, games, or whatever else the idea needs.
Made With Artists
Artistic Collaborations
Things I made with other artists and communities. I like what happens when an idea stops being completely mine and other people start pushing it around.

Chromie Cube
I 3D printed HanRGB's CryptoCube #13 in white, projected an animated gradient onto it, and filmed the result. It looks like a render, but it is real light hitting a real object.

Made With Brands
Brand Collaborations
I have also made some things with brands and teams. The good ones give me a weird new constraint—an event ticket, a shirt, a product—and make me figure out what my work can do with it.

I turned three or more forward slashes into a racing-inspired system that makes both a digital artwork and the embroidery file for a physical version.

Everything, In Order
The full timeline
All eleven releases in order, mostly because it is easier to see how one strange idea led to the next this way.

Chromie Squiggle
A colorful line I originally made to prove Art Blocks could work. It somehow became my signature.
It looks almost stupidly simple, which is kind of the point. Click it, change the background, look at the traits, and there is a lot more hiding in that line.

This was me going back to the projection-mapping experiments I was doing before the Squiggle, except now the light was landing on another artist's shape.

VeeCon 1 tickets
Gary Vaynerchuk drew the VEE CON letters, I filled them with generated color, and the result became the ticket art for VeeCon 2022.
The token got you into the event, but we also treated it like an artwork. There were generated letter combinations, my color system, and 30 little watercolor postcards I painted by hand.

Bookends (Study)
I paired an unreleased background algorithm from 2018 with photos of little ceramic pinch pots I made by hand.
This one goes from clay to code and then back to physical bowls that holders could claim. It is a small, quiet project, which I think is part of why I like it.

Friendship Bracelets
I came to Alexis André with an idea for generative artworks you could turn into physical friendship bracelets. Four colors, a few dollars of thread, and something to give away.
Each output already knows its four DMC thread numbers. It is less an image of a bracelet than a bracelet waiting for your hands.

100 Untitled Spaces
I put one generative artwork inside another one: a little color composition inside a room made from code.
The room is generated too. Press Enter to move the sun. Press A and the inner artwork immediately goes fullscreen.

9dcc ITERATION-02
I worked with 9dcc to put Squiggle-ish color and motion onto one-of-one physical tees with NFC chips in them.
Calling it merch misses most of the fun. The live mint, unique shirts, chip authentication, and network points all had to work together.

Heart + Craft
Jordan Lyall and I made a generative block heart that also tells you how to build the same heart in real life.
The render is only the start. The files, paint, glue, your own imperfect hands, and a later bridge into send/receive are the rest.

I turned three or more forward slashes into a racing-inspired system that makes both a digital artwork and the embroidery file for a physical version.
It starts with three or more slashes, then you notice the controls, the 15-thread limit, the cuts, and all the production logic hiding underneath.

LIFT (a self portrait)
A self-portrait where you have to keep a little pixel person from being crushed by a rock, ideally for a month or three. It is also a real GBA game.
Every token has its own supporters, detractor, items, ROM, box art, physical pieces, and a very long finish line.

send/receive
An on-chain network where you draw a pixel version of yourself, maybe make a tiny song, and decide whether you feel like sending, receiving, or both.
Every choice changes what other tokens see. The whole collection becomes a kind of live mood ring for attention and support.
For The Nerds
The archive is also just data
The same project info that builds the site is sitting here as public JSON. I like making the dates and source trail easy to inspect, and maybe somebody will build something weird with it later.
